A warm welcome awaits

At Winchcombe Day Care Centre our aim is to provide care that promotes the physical, emotional and general well-being of older people within our community, and help support their families & carers.

The Centre is a special place where members can meet during the day to share the company of friends in a safe and supported environment and enjoy a two-course lunch and refreshments.

We’re proud to offer a caring service to those who may feel socially isolated, are moderately disabled, have memory loss, or are simply frail, elderly and less able to get around.

We know that having the opportunity to socialise, re-kindle old friendships, make new ones, and take part in recreational activities can prove a real boost to an older person’s quality of life.

Our members are invited to take part in a variety of both stimulating and fun activities run by our professionally-trained staff and dedicated volunteers. Sessions involving gentle exercise, craft work, board and card games, music and singing, as well as celebration parties and trips to local attractions, all make up part of the Centre’s busy calendar.

Our service also offers respite for families and carers who can relax in the knowledge that their loved one is having a day out in safe surroundings and is being well looked after. 

Dance with Parkinson's sessions are every Monday 2pm-3.30pm at Abbeyfield Community Centre, Back Lane Winchcombe. Please contact Sarah on 603207 for more information. £5 per session. 

Please join us for our afternoon Tea Dance at Abbey fields Community Centre, Back Lane, 2pm-4pm on November 29th, with live music from Don Adams and refreshments and cake. 

Get into the Christmas spirit with our Christmas Male Voice Choir and Pamoja Choir evening on Friday 1st December, 7.30pm start, £8 inc refreshments at the Methodist Church, Winchcombe. Raffle on the evening. Tickets available from the Day Centre, The Emporium on North Street and Keelings Newsagent. Please call Vicky on 01242 603207 for info. 

Please join us on Tuesday 5th December from 5pm in Winchcombe for the Christmas Festival. We have a stall selling Christmas goods, gifts and more!

BeSocial@GL54 lunch date with Carol and friends raised a wonderful £480 for Dance for Parkinson's - thank you them for all their hard work! If you would like to join them and raise money for charity  their next lunch will be on Wednesday 6th December, 12-2pm at the Guide Hall. £5.
